Dr. Neighbors is a native Virginian. He received his undergraduate degree in science from Wake Forest University and then attended the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Neighbors did a two year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He later taught full time at the UCSF dental school, teaching undergraduate and graduate dental students. Dr. Neighbors moved back to Richmond in 1997 and has been practicing in Midlothian since. He enjoys practicing the full scope of cosmetic and family dentistry.
He has served the community through the Mission of Mercy project and Donated Dental Services. Dr. Neighbors has also traveled to the impoverished nation Sierra Leone, West Africa with Helping Children Worldwide to provide dental care. Dr. Neighbors is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association and the Richmond Dental Society. His wife, Dr. Joy Moretti, is a practicing periodontist in the office. They have two college aged sons, Ryan and Josh.
